In Favor of:

Removing the federal government from decisions regarding how our children will be taught, and what they will be taught. Return this to local school boards and the states.Teaching our children reading, writing, arithmetic, history and the sciences. Remove the social experimentation currently underway in our schools, such as having students place condoms on cucumbers or learning about families with two dads or two moms. Eliminate the Department of Education -- This department was created in the 1970s under then President Carter and has only served to act as a progressive program, experimenting with our children by holding local schools hostage over promised federal funding. Allow local areas and the states to determine what and how their children will learn; not politicians in Washington.
